IFCViewX 0.1.4¶
IFCViewX is a fast, private IFC viewer for inspecting and reviewing building models. Files are processed locally and stay on your machine.
Start¶
Open the viewer and drop in an IFC file. You can also choose the sample model if you want to explore first. Select any element in the model or tree to see its properties and related data.
Inspect and review¶
The model tree helps you browse elements, properties, quantities and schedules. For visual review, you can measure the model, create sections and 2D plans, and save viewpoints you want to return to.
Check and organize¶
Use filters to focus on important elements, then run model checks, IFC conformance or IDS validation. Findings can be recorded as BCF issues or kept in an offline report. Model changes are prepared for review before they are applied.
Optional tools¶
The Python Console supports advanced model queries. The assistant can search the model, explain properties and help control the view.
The browser needs no installation. Local Studio serves the same viewer locally and adds native IfcOpenShell tools, command-line checks and an MCP bridge.
